Xtra Time Web Desk : Former Minerva Punjab owner Ranjit Bajaj in a series of tweets has alleged that AIFF secretary Kushal Das had sexually harassed a female colleague of the federation. Mr Bajaj has always been vocal against the Federation. He had lodged several complaints against the federation before as well. But the allegations that came to the fore this time is really serious. It is a personal attack against the AIFF secretary, questioning his integrity.

Mr Bajaj claimed that AIFF secretary Kushal Das had an affair with one of his female colleagues. However, Kushal Das has denied such an allegation in several media outlets. Bajaj’s allegations have also been denied by the Federation.

On Tuesday, Ranjit Bajaj was contacted by Xtra Time to find out the actual incident. On being asked which woman was involved in the incident, Bajaj replied that he would not say anything in details.

Mr Bajaj tweeted that the first incident took place on November 26, 2015, the day after the AFC Awards at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi. The second incident took place on the day of the Indian Women’s League final on April 14, 2020 at the Chancery Hotel in Bangalore. He also wrote that the concerned woman complained to Colonel Mehta, the head of the internal grievance department.

Bajaj alleged that Miss Jyotsna Gupta, the current head of the Federation’s posh committee, had given a clean chit to Kushal Das. According to Bajaj, Jyotsna Gupta is also Kushal Das’s personal secretary. The point Bajaj is trying to make is the private secretary has been intimidated to keep quiet. But the actual fact is if there was any such incident then why Miss Jyotsna Gupta did not come out in public then.

The women staffs of the Federation have stood behind Mr Das and vehemently opposed the allegations of Mr Bajaj.

It will be interesting what actions the Federation take against Mr Bajaj if he cannot produce any evidence for his allegations against Mr Kushal Das.
