Internet Desk: Uttar Pradesh has named Suresh Raina has their new captain for the Ranji Trophy this seasons as UP will be facing Railways in their opening game on Friday.
Raina who was named as the captain of India Blue in the Duleep Trophy this season has been away from the National squad since 2015 and was also opted out from the T20squad which will face Australia.
The prestigious Ranji Trophy begins from Friday which will see 28 teams playing a total of 91 games. The teams have been potted into four groups and a new charm of this season would be bringing back the old format of home and away venue unlike the recent format of neutral venues.
