Internet Desk: Match-fit Rafael Nadal is ready to fly for Rio Olympics. Coach and uncle of 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist, Toni Nadal today declared it to cover up all doubts regarding his playing in the Games.

After pulling out from the French Open this May the joining of Nadal in the Rio Olympics was in confusion. Earlier this month it was declared that the former world no1 will join the Olympics 2016. However, declaration of coach of Nadal added confidence to that declaration. He is also the flag bearer of Spain.

“Obviously it won’t be easy but I am always confident that things go well. If we are a little bit lucky with the draw and we can go step by step to the best level, things can go well”, said Toni Nadal.

On Wednesday Nadal trained with Andy Murray. “The practice with Andy Murray was really the first tough practice with a top player and we are very happy that things went well,’ said Toni.

The coach is hopeful of good show by the star attraction of the Olympics about his fare come back as they have planned several practice matches reaching Rio de Janeiro. “I think there will be time to measure our chances and see how well Rafa responds to the toughness of the competition. By Saturday, in Rio we will start practicing with high-level players”, added Toni Nadal.
