Premier League: Manchester United win 2-0 against Crystal Palace, stays in hunt for CL spot

XtraTime Web Desk: Manchester United and Leicester Cty kept their Champions League hopes alive with wins in Premier League fixtures on Thursday night. While Manchester United got the better of Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park, the Foxes had a comfortable victory at home against Sheffield United. With two rounds to go, both Leicester and United see themselves with 62 points from 36 matches. Leicester with a better goal difference (31) is on fourth spot.


Goals from Marcus Rashford (45+1) and Anthony Martial (78) took United back level on points with Leicester, who is set to play United on the final day of the league. Palace were unfortunate to see a goal disallowed by VAR when Jordan Ayew was deemed to be an inch offside when turning home Wilfried Zaha’s cross.


In another Premier League clash Leicester City registered a comprehensive 2-0 victory over Sheffield United. Ayoze Perez (29’) and Demarai Gray (79’) were on target for the Foxes.
