Internet Desk: Peerless SC footballer Laltu Hembram who suffered a life threat in the match against Bhownipore yesterday is stable now. He is still admitted in the nearby hospital and is under doctor observation. His family came and met him today. Laltu is being kept under observation in the neuro department.

Bhowanipore coach Debjit Ghosh saved the life of Peerless SC footballer Laltu Hembram in the CFL Premier Division-A match on Friday at Barasat stadium. The match ended in a 1-1 stalemate between the two.

In the 35th minute of the match, Laltu got hit very badly on his nose and he became senseless. Judging the situation, Bhowanipore coach Debjit Ghosh came running to the field and started giving him mouth to mouth suction. Debjit himself was once victim of the same situation during the Asean Cup 2003 and then East Bengal mideo Douglas saved him from the crisis.

Today, when Laltu got injured, he was straight away taken to a nearby hospital at Barasat and he is under observation. Peerless SC official Ashok Dasgupta was grateful to Debjit as he was quoted as saying, “He is under observation and we will get the detail doctor report tomorrow and then we can assess the situation. But if Debjit was not here today, then we could not have saved Laltu today.”
