PCB gives ultimatum on Indo-Pak series in Sri Lanka

Shaharyar-KhanNEW DELHI : Cricket lovers from cross border will get to know on Monday whether the proposed series between India and Pakistan  ahead in Sri Lanka . Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have fixed Monday as the final deadline for getting confirmation on the proposed bilateral series in Sri Lanka from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), a PCB source said.

The PCB expects the Indian board to get clearance from their government before Monday as there is little time to make arrangements.

The series involving two T20I and three ODI’s was tentatively scheduled to start from the 15th of December.

According to a source close to PCB , there is hardly sufficient time left as a lot of logistics is involved in hosting the series in a third country which also has lot of tourism especially December being a Christmas and New year holiday season month .

The source also said the PCB was also not very optimistic about the Indian government giving clearance for the series. With very little time left, the PCB will also have to work round the clock to confirm title and other sponsors for the series.
