Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Irfan creates a rare record in T20 cricket

XtraTime Web Desk: Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Irfan is in the record books as he recorded the most economical figures in the history of T20 cricket, but despite doing that he was at the losing side.

Irfan bagged two wickets and gave just one run in his quota of four overs for his team Barbados Tridents in a match of Caribbean Premier League.

He bowled total 23 dot balls among them the first-ball duck was Windies destructive batsman Chris Gayle.

Despite of his brilliant bowling St Kitts and Nevis Patriots reached the target of 148 with seven balls to spare and won the game by 6 wickets.

The only run the 7ft 1in pace bowler conceded came in his final delivery.

“I’m really happy. I would’ve been happier if the team won, but I am happy that I bowled one of the best spells in T20 cricket,” Irfan said.

“I liked bowling on the lively wicket, and I get extra bounce because of my height. So yes, a satisfying performance.”
