OMG! Dhoni to retire soon from the limited overs cricket?

Sabyasachi Bagchi, Ranchi: There have been a lot of talks when the former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni will retire from international cricket. The veteran wicket keeper batsman is a crucial member of Indian limited overs cricket team and his form will be a key factor in the forthcoming World Cup for the Men in Blue. Though nobody knows when the legend would retire from international cricket but his childhood coach Keshav Ranjan Banerjee has revealed his student’s most desired wish in front of www.xtratime.in

MS Dhoni has many untold stories in his life. Suddenly he retired from Test cricket while playing against Australia in Melbourne. No one knows why he retired after playing 90 test matches. He handed over ODI and T20 captaincy to young Virat Kohli in 2017. Dhoni doesn’t want the limelight.

Dhoni probably playing his last ODI in his hometown Ranchi on March 8. It was hard that he will retire after playing the World Cup. Still the 37 years old man is very much much fit. Why he will not play one or two years more? Keshab Banerjee said, “Mahi doesn’t like the limelight. So he will not resume his cricketing career uneneserly. He don’t want to spoil a place in the team. The way he has been successful over the years he will retire in the right time.” Then his childhood coach became emotional and said, “He will retire after World Cup. Mark my words.”

Whoever you are you can’t judge what Dhoni is willing to do so why Keshav is sure about his student? “Before going to Australia Mahi talked about his future planning and said I played a lot sir and I will quit after the World Cup,” said his childhood coach.

Keshav knows Dhoni likes to have fun. That is why Mahi’s coach said, “The boy has a tremendous mental strength. Otherwise it’s difficult to keep this kind of fitness at the age of 37. Only Dhoni can do it. I knew he will perform well in the Australia and New Zealand series as he had training sessions’ everyday at JSCA Stadium before the tour. He had net sessions in the morning and evening. Not only cricket but also he used to play snooker, tennis and badminton but I think snooker helped him a lot to grow his eyesight.”

This is not the first time Dhoni and Team India will play in the JSCA Stadium though, Keshav never went to the ground so far but this time he will go. Not because his student is playing his last game in Ranchi. Dhoni’s family members have given some tickets to him. He added, “Mahi knows I never had a request. I never asked for a ticket. Still his family members gave some tickets to me and that is why I will go and watch the game on Friday. This will be the first time Mahi will play for his country after the pavilion named after him. I can’t miss the chance”

The former Indian captain doing his keeping with the press box at his back. The MS Dhoni pavilion is glittering at his back. But why only the match? During the practice session ahead of the third ODI Dhoni will definitely see the stand which is named after him. And why not? He is a man of blood & flesh. The time will only tell whether ‘Captain Cool’ would stick on his words which he told to his childhood teacher or  will give his valuable tips to Kohli or Rohit after the World Cup.

That’s why no one wants to believe that Dhoni said,” I played a lot sir and I will quit after the World Cup” as he is the “King of Cricket”.
