XtraTime Web Desk: I League champions Mohun Bagan will start selling their official merchandise online from this month. The details of the online sale will be updated by the club once the formalities are completed. There will be no counter sales until further notice. The reason for no counter sales is due to the ongoing situation in the state due to coronavirus pandemic.
It was also decided that the club tent will not be re-opening from June 15 as earlier declared as the situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic is very serious and the rate of infected people is drastically increasing every day.
According to Mohun Bagan club secretary Srinjoy Bose, “Our Chief Minister has requested the citizens not to go out unlessit is extremely essential or urgent to do so.”

He added, “In view of the prevailing situation and for the safety of all the members and supporters, the club management has decided not to open the Club Tent from Monday, June 15.”

The Mariners management will be keeping a close watch on the situation and will do periodical review.

Due to the lockdown several program of the century old club had to be cancelled. The traditional ‘bar puja’ celebrations on the occasion of Bengali New Years Day could not be held at the club ground. The board meeting of the newly formed entity ATK Mohun Bagan also had to be postponed. It is learnt that the meeting will now take place in the third week of June. Whether it will get further delayed will depend entirely on the situation around.
