Kolkata: After confirming the signing of Haroon Amiri, Mohun Bagan rope in Nigerian Daniel Bidemi as their third foreigner for the CFL. Daniel Bidemi has been an experienced customer in the CFL for the last few years had piled his trade for various clubs and had been consistent with his performance.

Daniel who was in Nigeria for a loan spell in a local club in Lagos is coming back to Kolkata on Thursday to showcase his skills with Mohun Bagan. Bidemi, who began his career as a striker is now considered as a utility player nowadays as he can play in all positions apart from goalkeeper. Last year he played as stopper and performed well in a new position for Police AC.

In 2014, with Tollygunge Agragami he played both as a striker and midfelder and helped the side stay in the top three of the CFL standings. He has been terrific form for whichever club colour he has donned till now.

Before being a regular player in the CFL, Daniel had the experience of piling his trade with some I-League clubs like Shillong Lajong FC, Sporting Clube De Goa, Viva Kerala. He has played for Bhowanipore in the Second Division League for whom he was the highest scorer.

When contacted, Daniel Bidemi said, “Yes I am coming on Thursday to join Mohun Bagan. I have signed a contract till the end of the CFL and if the coach and officials are satisfied with my performance then they will extend it till the end of the season.”
