Kolkata: Returning from USA Indian speedstar Md. Shami is feeling very relaxed. After having injury in 2015 ICC World Cup he is taking this West Indies test series and T20 series in USA as his come back time.

Yesterday Shami returned to Kolkata. This morning he went to meet his Bengal teammates. Returning Kolkata he is frank on his West Indies tour, his new coach and captain and also about his experience of playing in USA.

At this moment the most important thing in his mind is the importance of team management that helped him to return in the Men in Blue squad.

“It was possible due to coach Anil Kumble and skipper Virat Kohli. In this series apart from Ishant Sharma all were with little experience. From that point I could succeed only by the help of the team management”, said Shami today.

Shami considers this West Indies series as the best of his carrier. “I was very frustrated as I was lagging behind. So I tried to regain my past form, the same pace and swing during this series. I worked hard on fitness prior to this series. So from this respect this tour is the best I passed so far”, said Shami.

After this successful tour Shami is confident for the upcoming New Zealand series on home land. He said, “It will be tough for us as you know that sub-continental pitch does not have much support for pacers. But I had a good record on home ground. If I can keep my form of West Indies here as well, I will succeed”.

Regarding his old friend Wriddhiman Saha, who also got a big success of getting first test century in West Indies, Md. Shami also recalled the story Bengal wicket keeper said returning India. Shami said, “We were talking of a century of Wriddhiman in that series during a dinner, few days’ after he did it.”

But Shami had some untold story too. He revealed that he is the man to click the photograph of Wriddhiman scoring his first test century.

Shami is excited about prospect of cricket in USA. According to him, “It was unbelievable the cheerings we got on the soil of USA where only baseball is preferred. Crowd of Florida cheering for India was a sight which proves big prospect of cricket there.”

However, he complained of slow wicket in USA too.
