Internet Desk: Minerva Punjab FC has roped in their coach for the 2016/17 Season, and the name is quite well known and experienced when it comes to Indian football.

Carlos Jose Hevia, the Spanish gaffer who was most recently the Technical director of ISL team Pune City FC is the new coach of the Punjab based outfit. Hevia has completed more than 20 years in his managerial career.

He is credited of building the topmost grass root developmental project amongst all ISL teams in Pune as the UEFA Pro License holder stands quite disciplined towards his work.

And it makes sense for him to be at Minerva Punjab FC. The club has taken its time to put an elaborate youth development programme in place, and has the largest residential football academy in India. They have entered the Indian football circuit with a long term vision where the first team is closely linked with the youth and academy squads. It’s the same kind of strong structure that Carlos has repeatedly spoken out in favor of during his time in India.

With the I-league to commence this weekend, it appears that this appointment will be a Lengthy one and hopefully it will bore fruits in the long term on.
