XtraTime Web Desk – In all 4 previous matches of ATK Mohun Bagan, they have started slow with steady defence. This time around, Habas and his boys showed how dangerous they can be if they play attacking football right from the start.

Roy Krishna and Manvir Singh kept Hyderabad defenders very busy. ATK Mohun Bagan created a lot of chances but ultimately Subrata Paul was the man who stopped them all. The superman saved two shots that easily could’ve been a goal for ATK Mohun Bagan. Subrata Paul kept his superb form throughout the first half as it ended 0-0. Coach Habas however would be proud seeing his boys play such quality football.

In the second half, Manvir Singh scored a brilliant solo goal that will definitely bring a lot of smile in the face of millions of Mariners. He dribbled past 3 defenders and scored a beautiful goal to give ATK Mohun Bagan an important lead. ATK Mohun Bagan however couldn’t keep the momentum. Nikhil Poojary was brought down inside the penalty box and referee awarded Hyderabad a penalty. Joao Victor made no mistake and converted from the penalty as Hyderabad locked level with ATK Mohun Bagan at the 65th minute.

By then it was visible that ATK Mohun Bagan lacks a creative midfielder. Someone who can create from the midfield and create that pressure. ATK Mohun Bagan then were playing counter attacking football. Even in that counter attacking football, ATK Mohun Bagan players was not pressing and thus wasn’t able to create any impact.

Youngsters like Manvir Singh and Liston Colaco were brilliant as the match between ATK Mohun Bagan and Hyderabad FC ended 1-1. Coach Habas needs to find a player who can create balls in the middle else ATK Mohun Bagan might lose points against steady defensive teams.
