Xtra Time Web Desk: Kylian Mbappe was booed by the Paris Saint Germain fans on the day Lionel Messi along with four other new signings were presented at Parc des Princes on Saturday. The PSG fans gave a rapturous welcome to their new signings this season as they were presented before the Parisian club’s first home Ligue 1 game of the season.

The five major new signings Lionel Messi, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Giorginio Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi and Sergio Ramos were presented at the Parc des Princes.

Only Achraf Hakimi and Giorgino Wijnaldum was seen in action in PSG’s opening Ligue 1 game against Strasbourg. The home side won the match 4-2.

“It was a very special week. I want to thank everybody for the reception, which was incredible. I feel very happy, very excited for this new period,” said Messi, minutes after Kylian Mbappe’s name had been booed by the home fans.

The French club’s fans spent at least two minutes singing Messis name, but they also had a song prepared for Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos.

“It’s a huge day for me. We have a team capable of winning all the trophies on offer,” said Ramos.

Donnarumma, Wijnaldum and Achraf also spoke and thanked the fans for the welcome to a packed Parc des Princes, a setting they hope will be one of collective success over the course of the season.
