Xtra Time Web Desk: Rohan Jaitley once again won the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) elections, defeating former India cricketer Kirti Azad. Jaitley will retain the president's post and continue into his second term as the head of the state association.
According to updates received during the counting on Tuesday, December 17, Rohan Jaitley secured 1,577 votes, while Kirti Azad managed only 777 votes out of a total of 2,413 votes.

Members from the Rohan Jaitley camp also won other key positions. Shikha Kumar was elected vice-president, defeating Rakesh Kumar Bansal and Sudhir Kumar Agarwal by a significant margin. Ashok Sharma won the election for secretary, while Harish Singla emerged victorious in the contest for treasurer. Amit Grover claimed the position of joint secretary.
It is important to note that last week, Kirti Azad made serious allegations of corruption against the current dispensation, claiming that only a fraction of the approximately Rs 140 crore received from the BCCI in the last financial year was spent.

Azad further alleged that the DDCA spent as much as Rs 17.5 crore to install floodlights, whereas the significantly larger Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad completed similar work for just Rs 7.5 crore. He also claimed that the DDCA is installing eight lifts at a cost of Rs 19 crore, according to PTI news agency reports.
