Xtra Time Web Desk: India's rising star Shubman Gill attended Agni Chopra's birthday, who is playing for Mizoram in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024. Agni turned 26 on November 4, his mother Anupama Chopra shared some photos.

Anupama wrote on social media, "Birthday celebrations for Agni Chopea - after too much Kashmiri food and Nutella cheesecake, this is all the partying we could muster up." Shubman Gill and his sister Shahneel Gill both were present there.

Since Agni's first-class debut for Mizoram earlier this year, he has been o spotlight for scoring eight centuries, including two double hundreds in just nine matches and for maintaining an impressive batting average of 99.06. Agni dreams of donning India jersey one day. As he said to PTI, "I don't think too far into the future. Of course, in terms of the bigger picture, I would love to be picked for the Duleep Trophy, India A, or the IPL, and hopefully, one day, represent India." 


"For me, what works best is focusing only on the next game. I don't even think about the game after that; I just focus on what's next because to play for India, I have to perform well in each upcoming game," he added.

The turning point for Agni so far was shifting from Mumbai to Mizoram which allowed him more game time. With a disciplined approach and a desire to keep improving, Agni Chopra is steadily working hard to make his dream true.
