Xtra Time Web Desk: Shakid AI Hasan is all set to miss his "farewell" test as Bangladesh Cricket Board announced young left-arm spinner Murad Hasan as replacement, just three days before the opening Test match against South Africa at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.

As Shakib stated that he would want the Mirpur Test to be his ‘farewell’ in the long format but it seems to be impossible right now keeping the present condition in mind. The Youth and Sports advisor of Bangladesh, Mr. Asif Mahmud suggested him to not return.

Having 136 wickets along with 12 five wickets hauls in 30 first class matches, Murad made his way in national team frequently.

According to Mr. Gazi Asraf Hossain, the Chairman of BCB National Selection Panel, “We have been informed that Shakib is unavailable for the first Test. He will lend balance to our bowling, especially in home conditions. We believe he has the potential to deliver at this level.”
