Jharkhand Housing Board investigates Dhoni for alleged misuse of residential plot
Xtra Time Web Desk: The Jharkhand State Housing Board has taken action against former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, alleging that he has been using his residential plot on Harmu Road for commercial purposes. According to the board, such usage of residential land violates its regulations. Board Chairman Sanjay Lal Paswan emphasized that residential plots allotted by the board are meant strictly for residential use, and any deviation from this is considered illegal.
The issue came to light when reports indicated that a diagnostic centre had been established at Dhoni's Harmu Road residence. In response, the board has launched an investigation to verify the original purpose for which the plot was allocated and whether it is being used in accordance with the established rules. Should it be confirmed that the residential plot is being utilized commercially, the board has stated that strict action will be taken.

It is important to note that the residential plot in question was granted to Dhoni by the Jharkhand government during Arjun Munda's tenure as Chief Minister, in recognition of his remarkable cricketing achievements.
