Xtra Time Web Desk: CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan revealed a message from Mahendra Singh Dhoni related to the retention plans for IPL 2025. Viswanathan reiterated that Chennai Super Kings wants MS Dhoni to play at least one more season in the IPL.

Kasi Viswanathan said at an event, "We also want Dhoni to play in the CSK team. But Dhoni has not confirmed it to us yet. Dhoni said, 'I will tell you before October 31.' We hope that he will play."

MS Dhoni has been the apple of eye of CSK fans for decades but he has been tight lipped about his participation in IPL 2025 since the last session of Indian Premier League. Although Dhoni hinted earlier that IPL 2024 would be his last but CSK's failure to qualify for the playoffs may push for a change in plans.

The deadline for retaining players ahead of the mega auction is October 31, 2024 so willingly or unwillingly fans have to wait for confirmation.
