Time Web Desk: Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah has announced his retirement from T20 Internationals, confirming that he will step away from the format after the ongoing series against India. The 37-year-old cricketer made the announcement during a pre-match press conference ahead of the second T20I between the two nations.

"I think it’s the right time to retire from this format. I’ll try to concentrate on the upcoming ODIs," Mahmudullah stated, expressing his desire to shift focus towards the one-day format.

In a T20I career spanning over a decade, Mahmudullah has made a significant impact, scoring 2,395 runs and claiming 40 wickets. His highest score in the format is an unbeaten 64, which he achieved against the West Indies in 2012.
