Xtra Time Web Desk: Former England captain Eoin Morgan has showered praise on Team India following their remarkable victory over Bangladesh in the rain-affected Kanpur Test. Despite challenging weather conditions, the Rohit Sharma-led side pulled off a stunning seven-wicket win to complete a 2-0 clean sweep in the series.

The match appeared headed for a draw, with only 35 overs bowled on day one and no play on days two and three due to rain and a wet outfield. However, India turned the game on its head, first bowling out Bangladesh for 233 before launching an aggressive batting display. They shattered records with the fastest 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 in Test history, declaring at 285/9. Bangladesh faltered again in their second innings, managing just 146 runs, leaving India to comfortably chase 95 runs.

This victory extended India’s impressive record at home, marking their 18th consecutive home series win. The last time India lost a Test series at home was in 2012, against England. Over the past decade, they have dropped only four home Tests, solidifying their reputation as a dominant force in home conditions.

Morgan was full of admiration, describing India as "one of the greatest in their own conditions." He emphasized the unparalleled consistency of the team, noting that even traditionally strong home sides like England have not matched India’s level of dominance.

Morgan further highlighted India’s upcoming challenge in Australia, where they will play a five-match Test series in November. He stated that if India brings the same aggressive mindset they displayed in Kanpur, they will pose serious questions to Australia, especially with the fitness of star spinner Nathan Lyon potentially playing a key role.
