ICC Champions Trophy 2025: All India-Pakistan matches until 2028 at neutral venues, including Champions Trophy
Xtra Time Web Desk: The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed on December 19 that the 2025 Champions Trophy will be played in a hybrid model, with India’s matches in the eight-team event taking place at a neutral venue.
The ICC’s statement clarified that India and Pakistan’s matches in ICC events during the 2024-2027 rights cycle will be held at neutral venues. This means that Pakistan will not travel to India for their matches in the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup or the 2026 T20 World Cup.
The Champions Trophy, scheduled to begin on February 19, 2025, in Pakistan, had been uncertain due to India’s refusal to travel to Pakistan. The ICC reiterated that the neutral venue arrangement will also apply to the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 (hosted by India), and the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 (jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka).
