Xtra Time Web Desk: India's star fast bowler Mohammad Shami is all set to play in Syed Ali Trophy for Bengal as announced on Monday. Shami has been an asset for Bengal since long and India as well. Shami's return in domestic hints that he will possibly join Indian side in second test i.e. a day and night test against Australia scheduled to be played in Adelaide starting from 6 December.

Although Indian selectors don't want to go in a rush for Shami, still the final call will be taken on how his body holds during the second innings, an exclusive report reveals.

After his outstanding return to competitive cricket via Ranji Trophy, star India pacer Mohammad Shami will now spearhead Bengal’s bowling attack in the forthcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy while young and talented batsman Sudip Kr Gharami has been named the captain for the tournament. Earlier Shami who bagged seven wickets in the just-concluded Ranji Trophy match against Madhya Pradesh, will be a huge boost to Bengal’s chances in the T20 tournament.

The 35 years old veteran pacer has some phenomenon records against Australia and will definitely boost up India' s pace attack. Bengal will begin their campaign against Punjab in Rajkot on Saturday.
