Xtra Time Web Desk: Rohit Sharma is all set to join the Indian team in Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After staying back for the birth of his second child, he is expected to arrive in Perth on November 24, the third day of the first Test at Optus Stadium. The Indian squad had left for Australia between November 9 and 11, but Rohit's departure was delayed to be with his family. His son was born on November 15, and since then, there had been speculation about his travel.

Initially, there were reports suggesting he might arrive before the Test match begins on November 22, but it was confirmed that he would join on Sunday. In his absence, Jasprit Bumrah has been leading the side. Bumrah spoke about staying in touch with Rohit, saying, “I spoke with Rohit earlier. But I got a little bit of clarity on leading the side after coming here.”
