Coming back from 1-0 behind in the match on just the 8th minute mark, courtesy of a Carrasco goal, Xavi’s Barca on Sunday reminded of some of the the old Blaugrana sides which used to dominate oppositions at their own will as the Catalunyan giants scored their equaliser on the 10 minute mark through a mind boggling volley from left back Jordi Alba.

New signing Adama Traore, who started the match on the right flank on his second debut for Barca was a constant threat for his opponents as he initiated crosses after crosses into the penalty box, which led to Barcelona’s second goal on the 21st minute, courtesy of the youngster Gavi.

The third Barca strike too came as a result of constant pressing by Xavi’s team as they dominanted the ball possession. Ronald Araujo, Barca’s robust defender scored from inside the box on the 43rd minute of the match to make the scoreline 3-1 at half-time in favour of the home side.

In the second half too, Barcelona were dominant in terms of possession, which further beared fruits when Dani Alves scored a stunner at the 49 minute mark before Luis Suarez made it 4-2 for the away side on the 58th minute.

There were no further goals in the match after that, although Dani Alves was red carded on the 69th minute.
