XtraTime Web Desk – No Neymar, no problem was probably Kylian Mbappe’s mantra going into the game as the Frenchmen killed Barcelona’s hope of qualifying for the Quarterfinals of UEFA Champions League.

Barcelona was not having a good season but all of that changed from January. They were playing good football and climbed up the ladder in La Liga but it looked like their season in Champions League could end in the next month, courtesy to the French genius Kylian Mbappe.

Barca defence had no answer whatsoever for him. After Lionel Messi scored from the penalty in the 27th minute, it was all Kylian Mbappe show. He scored in the 32nd minute and then again in the 65th minute. Moise Kean scored the third in the 70th minute while Mbappe scored his third and sealed the deal in the 85th minute.

Losing 4-1 at home that too when Di Maria and Neymar isn’t there must be tough for Barcelona to digest. They can think of a fairytale comeback like they did once against the same opposition but away from home is a tough ask for Barcelona.

On the other hand, after having a horrible 2021, Jurgen Klopp and his boys registered a very crucial win. Liverpool beat RB Leipzig 2-0 and it’s their big boys who stepped up in the occasion.

Mohammed Salah scored in the 53rd minute while Sadio Mane scored in the 58th minute to seal the deal. Will this change Liverpool’s fortune in the Premier League? Only time will tell.
