Internet Desk: In an emotional message, Indian test captain Virat Kohli has wished the Indian soldiers on the occasion of ‘Diwali’. Kohli joined former cricketer and dashing opener Virender Sehwag, boxer Vijender Singh and Md Kaif in wishing the Indian soldiers in accordance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s #Sandesh2Soldiers campaign

While the entire nation gets ready to celebrate Diwali with their family, the Indian soldiers will be busy at the border protecting the country.

In an emotional video message on twitter, Kohli said, “I, Virat Kohli, want to wish on this Diwali our jawans all the best.”

As a player of Indian cricket team Virat has stayed away from home many times and hence knows the pain of staying away from the loved once.

“I know what it means staying away from the family. The way you protect our country is worth a lot of praise.”

“My brothers, keep faith that I and the entire country will always be with you,” he added.

He also wrote on the social networking site, “Whenever you see a jawan, salute them. We get to celebrate festivals & live in peace because of them. Jai Hind  #Sandesh2Soldiers.”

Kohli’s message to jawans comes on the back of the Uri attack which took the lives of 19 Indian soldiers by Pakistani terrorists in Kashmir last month.
