Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) match between Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad, held today (April 21) saw KL Rahul reach a new milestone- He surpassed 5000 T20 runs, a phenomenal achievement made even more remarkable by the fact that he surpassed talismanic Indian Captain Virat Kohli to do it.

He made a score of just 4 runs, but even that was enough to take him past the milestone mark. While Kohli took 163 innings to do it, Rahul accomplished the feat in just 143 innings. His Punjab teammate Chris Gayle holds the record, however, having reached the 5000 T20 runs in just 132 innings. KL Rahul is one of the best T20 batsmen in the world today, having captured the Orange Cap in the IPL last year, and with a decent start to life this time around, he will be looking to make a mark yet again on the IPL stage.
