ISL 3: Battle of champions gearing up as ATK & Chennaiyin had purposeful trainings

Kolkata:
It will be a battle of champions in the second game of the Hero Indian Super League, as the first ISL champions Atletico de Kolkata will be taking on the champions of the season 2, Chennaiyin FC on 2nd October. Both the teams are now in Kolkata as the visitors have reached the “city of joy” this afternoon.

Atletico de Kolkata have trained some situational moves today as coach Jose Molina emphasized particularly on the set pieces. Sameehg Doutie and Pritam Kotal were busy in taking corner kicks.

Iain Hume and Helder Postiga were in charge of taking the free kicks as Debjit Majumder and Shilton Paul were there on the receiving end.

Atletico de Kolkata is likely to start with Debjit Majumder between the sticks with Dani Mello and Shilton Paul to warm the bench. The injury of Ofentse Nato is recovering as the Botswana international jogged with the physical trainer with some rehabilitation drills.

On the other hand, Chennaiyin FC trained at the Mohun Bagan Ground this evening with a closed door session. It is heard that the Head Coach, Italian legend Marco Materazzi scheduled a light fitness session followed by a 7-a-side match practice.

The teams will be having their last training session tomorrow before they lock horns with each other on 1st October.
