Xtra Time Web Desk : The current season of Indian Super League on Tuesday continued to be as horrific and winless as it had been so far for SC East Bengal with another lackluster 1-1 draw against a dominant Bengaluru FC.

Both Bengaluru and East Bengal were evenly matched before the start of the match in terms of the team sheets and the previous results too. The clash started in a very tight manner where both showed their intentions to take control of the midfield. But a magic moment for the Red and Gold came when Haokip scored at the 25th minute mark to give a 1-0 lead to the Torchbearers. The match however after that was dominated to a certain extent by the team from South, but was unable to capitalize on their chances.

In the second half however, Bengaluru FC took full command of the game as their tailsman Sunil Chhetri got subbed on. The constant pressure from the Bengaluru forward line forced the East Bengal defence to make a mistake which led to an own goal, scored by Sourav Das at the 55th minute mark.

Sunil’s team after the goal got quite a few chances in the last 30 minutes to take a decisive lead in the match but were not successful due to missed chances and Arindam Bhattacharya’s saves. But on the other hand, East Bengal weren’t that impressive in the second half.

SC East Bengal will play their next match in the ISL against Mumbai City FC on 7th December.
