Xtra Time Web Desk : SC East Bengal has not been able to register a single win in this season’s Indian super league in the 6 matches they have played up until now. Thus the Red and Gold brigade would definitely look to win tomorrow’s clash against Northeast United to gain some momentum and register their first win this season.

And ahead of their all important match tomorrow, their Head Coach Manolo Diaz has spoken out about his team. In a pre match press conference, the Gaffer said, “We are working on the team. The atmosphere inside the team is pretty good and everyone has respect for each other. We could’ve won a few matches, but we didn’t utilize the chances that we got,”

When asked about the physical conditioning and injuries of the players, Diaz stated, “Not only physical. But the team’s technical, tactical and physical conditioning are being monitored by us. We have to keep in mind a lot of issues. Not just a single one. We started our preparations late. But that didn’t affect the physical side of our team,”

Also lauding his team’s foreigners the Spanish coach said, “So far we’ve scored nine goals in the tournament and the foreigners have scored eight of them. I’m happy with them. For me, they are playing well.”

Apart from these statements, Diaz also stated that club captain Arindam Bhattacharya could make his come back into the team, but Jackichand remains to be sidelined.
