ISL 2020-21: Anthony Pilkington’s brace gives SC East Bengal a 3-1 win over Kerala Blasters

XtraTime Web Desk – Even after being the last team to arrive in ISL, SC East Bengal registered a huge win in a friendly match. However, Robbie Fowler isn’t giving much attention to this victory. SC East Bengal will begin their ISL campaign against ATK Mohun Bagan on 27th of November. Just before that, SC East Bengal registered a 3-1 win over Kibu Vicuna’s Kerala Blasters in a friendly match. Anthony Pilkington scored a brace. Balwant Singh also scored a goal but his goal was ruled out as he was offside. Gary Hooper was the lone scorer for Kerala Blasters.

This friendly match was organized on Tuesday and Kerala Blasters were in charge of hosting the game. Both the coaches divided the match into 30 minutes of each half to check all their players. Right from the start, the Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler played 4 foreigners against Kerala. Scott Neville was replaced by Aaron Amadi Holloway right in the last half. Jacques Maghoma was given rest during today’s match. Gary Hooper gave the lead to Kerala Blasters in the beginning. After that, Pilkington equalized from a penalty. The Irish winger again scored after few minutes.
