Internet Desk: Quinton de Cock produced one of his best innings  in IPL, helping Delhi Daredevils to a convincing seven-wicket win over favourites Royal Challengers at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore on Sunday.

It was the 23 year old South African wicketkeeper batsman’s maiden century in IPL that helped his side successfully chase Royal Challengers huge total of 191 runs. His innings was studded with 15 fours and three sixes, before getting dismissed by a Shane Watson bouncer in the second ball of the 19th over.

De Cock reached his hundred off 48 balls. It was his 134 run partnership for the third wicket with Karun Nair that paved the way for Daredevils second win of the season. Nair remained not out on 58 runs.

Royal Challengers rode on a magnificent batting display from AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli to post 191 for 5 in their 20 overs. Challengers lost Chris Gayle in the very first over for a duck, but Kohli and de Villiers stitched a partnership of 107 runs in just 65 deliveries to lay the foundation of a huge total. De Villiers smashed nine fours and a six in his knock of 55 runs off 33 balls. Kohli however carried on his good form and took the bowlers apart along with Shane Watson, who came into bat at No. 4.

Watson and Kohli put on 63 for the third wicket that took Challengers close to the 200-run mark but quick loss of wickets towards the end of the innings ensured that RCB fell just short. Kohli was snapped up by Md Shami, getting him caught in the deep.

The Indian pacer played his first match in IPL 9 after coming back from injury. He replaced all rounder Jayant Yadav. Challengers went into the match with two changes. David Wiese and Srinath Aravind replaced Adam Milne and Stuart Binny.
