Former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has advocated for the inclusion of Shivam Dube in the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup set to take place in the West Indies and the United States of America (USA) later this year. In a recent match against Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Yuvraj Singh expressed his admiration for Dube’s performance, stating that Dube has the potential to be a game-changer for the Indian team in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

On the other hand, former cricketer Irfan Pathan asserted that Dube stands out as the top Indian batsman against spin in T20 cricket and urged the selectors to monitor the CSK player closely as the T20 World Cup approaches. Pathan emphasized Dube’s excellence in facing quality spin bowling as a key factor in his favor.
Irfan tweeted, “Right now Shivam Dube is way ahead of any one in Indian cricket as far as spin hitting ability is concern! Indian selectors should keep a close eye on him for the World Cup.”

Dube exhibited his prowess by scoring 45 runs from 24 balls, including 2 fours and 4 sixes. Coming to bat in the eighth over following the dismissal of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Dube took charge, forming a valuable partnership of 65 runs for the third wicket with Ajinkya Rahane, who contributed 35 runs off 30 balls. Dube was eventually dismissed by Pat Cummins, the opposing team’s captain, who has also achieved the milestone of picking up 50 wickets in the IPL.
