Xtra Time Web Desk: Shubman Gill got a warm welcome from his father, Lakhwinder Singh and his sister Shahneel Gill after having a dream start as captain of the Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League 2024.
On March 24, Sunday, the Titans beat 5 time champions Mumbai Indians by 6 runs to kick off their campaign in the best possible way. After the match, Gill’s father and sister’s joy knew no bounds as they showered their beloved family member in the team hotel with hugs and kisses. Shubman was also elated while meeting his dear ones following GT’s victory over Hardik Pandya’s MI.

“I think the way the boys held their nerves, and the way we bowled in the death overs, especially with the dew coming in, I thought it was special. With the dew, how the spinners bowled, they made sure we stayed in the game. It was all about putting on the pressure,” Gill said after the match.

Gill did everything right from rotating the bowlers to setting the field. The total which they put up was not a big one but their belief was. Bowlers hold their nerve and kept their composure in the death overs.
Gill, who is also the youngest captain in IPL 2024, heaped praise on his Bowlers.
