The IPL 2024 final is likely to be held on May 26, just five days before the T20 World Cup 2024 begins in the USA and the Caribbean.
According to the tentative schedule discussed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) with stakeholders, the second season of the WPL is expected to take place from February 22 to March 17, hosted in Bengaluru and Delhi. Official confirmation of these dates is awaited, with an announcement expected in the coming days, possibly on Monday.
The IPL schedule is intricately linked to the General Election timetable, with the BCCI contemplating holding the tournament between March 22 and May 26. Final confirmation awaits the announcement of election dates, but the BCCI is optimistic about hosting the entire league in India.
BCCI has already received assurances from most cricket boards regarding player availability until the final, although early departures due to the T20 World Cup starting on June 1 cannot be ruled out.
