Xtra Time Web Desk : Current Team India and Baroda all rounder Hardik Pandya is all set to lead the newly formed Ahemdabad franchise for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. The 28 year old was released by his previous franchise Mumbai Indians, for whom he played for 7 seasons and won 4 IPL titles.

But lately, Hardik has been more on the headlines, not because of his performances, but his fitness issues and back problems which hasn’t allowed him bowl quite often like he used to do. Moreover, the all rounder has had a lean patch with the bat, not quite replicating the Pandya of past which is reportedly one of the main reasons of him being released by the Mumbai franchise.

And now, with the opportunity to lead the Ahemdabad franchise, the Baroda all rounder would get a fair chance to resurrect his career after a disastrous IPL 2021 and a below par T20 World Cup.

Also, Pandya is likely expected to be joined by his former Mumbai teammate Ishan Kishan and mystery spinner Rashid Khan as his Ahemdabad teammates alongside the already appointed Ashish Nehra as the head coach.
