Xtra Time Web Desk: All the IPL franchises have started assembling their cricketers ahead of the new season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2021). The international cricketers have started arriving in India to represent their franchises. With just a couple of weeks left for the IPL 2021, three key players are set to miss the opening match for their franchise. England pace and Rajasthan Royals pace spearhead Jofra Archer, Australian and RCB leg spinner Adam Zampa and India middle order batsman and Delhi Capitals captain Shreya Iyer looks all set to miss the first part or at least the first match for their respective franchises.

Shreyas Iyer (DC)

In an extremely unfortunate development for Delhi Capitals, Shreyas Iyer has dislocated his shoulder in the opening ODI against England on Tuesday. According to BCCI’s sources, Iyer will minimum be out from the side for the next 6-8 weeks. This means Delhi Capitals captain is now doubtful for IPL 2021.

Jofra Archer (RR)

Archer returned to England for management and investigation for a right elbow injury that he sustained during the Test series. According to the ECB, Archer’s elbow issue has worsened during the recently concluded T20 series. The ECB medical team will assess the player and, together with Jofra, develop a treatment plan and a return-to-play schedule in due course. As a consequence, Jofra will miss the start of this year’s Indian Premier League.

Adam Zampa (RCB)

Australia leg-spinner Adam Zampa will be missing Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) first fixture in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 as he is getting married, confirmed Mike Hesson, franchise’s Director of Cricket.
