IPL 2021: Sunrisers Hyderabad suffers blow, key all rounder pulls out for this reason

Xtra Time Web Desk: Sunrisers Hyderabad was dealt a huge blow ahead of the start of Indian Premier League 2021 season (IPL 2021). Aussie all rounder Mitchell Marsh has decided to pull out of the upcoming season citing his inability to spend long time inside the bio-bubble.

Under the latest IPL Covid-19 protocols, the 29-year-old Australian cricketer would have to undergo seven-day quarantine plus a 50-day bio-bubble, which he found too restrictive. According to a report in Cricbuzz, the franchise has signed an England batsman as a replacement for Marsh. The English cricketer took part in the recently-concluded T20I series against India.

Marsh was bought by SRH for a base price of Rs 2 crore at the 2020 auction. However, he was not available for the majority of the season after picking up an injury. He twisted his ankle during SRH’s opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and was unfit to continue. SRH signed West Indian Jason Holder as his subsequent replacement.

David Warner led franchise will kick start their IPL 2021 campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 11 at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
