Xtra Time Web Desk: England cricketers Dawid Malan has decided to pull out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 second leg which is scheduled to start from September 19. Jonny Bairstow and Chris Woakes are also likely to pull out of the cash rich league as well citing personal reasons. The news comes as a huge blow for the three franchises – Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals just eight days ahead of the start of the IPL 2021.

Punjab Kings has already announced South Africa’s Aiden Markram as a replacement for Malan. Sunrisers Hyderabad are looking for a replacement for Bairstow. The franchise confirmed that the wicket keeper batsman had opted out of the IPL 2021.

As reported earlier, the cancellation of the 5th test between India vs England hasn’t gone down well with some of the England cricketers. Some of them were angry and furious after Virat Kohli & Co decided against taking the field after a COVID-19 outbreak in the India camp.

According to a report by The Sun, England camp believes that the Indian players themselves played with COVID rules and were even spotted out and about in Manchester on Thursday when they were meant to be at their hotel.
