IPL 2021: Jadeja ‘cleaned up’ Harshal Patel for 37 runs in a single over

Xtratime Web Desk: On Sunday evening in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2021,Indian T-20 League) at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai cricket fans witnessed a high voltage encounter between Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore. Bangalore was handed their first ever defeat of the 14 th edition by Dhoni’s men.

One man who is the main architect behind this Chennai win is talismans India all rounder Ravindra Jadeja. When he came to bat Chennai had just lost two wickets in quick succession. Ambati Rayadu was in crease and he hasn’t faced a single delivery at that time. Chennai score was then 111. Ambati Rayudu scored only 14 runs before getting out and RCB had pulled things back superbly in the death overs.

Jadeja literally lit up the stadium with his batting as he took Harshal Patel to cleaners. Jadeja smashed five sixes and a four off Harshal Patel to churn out 37 runs in a single over. CSK managed to post a total of 191 runs for the loss of four wickets after their 20 overs thanks to this heroic innings from Jadeja who remained unbeaten on 62 runs off just 28 balls.
