Xtra Time Web Desk: Delhi Capitals outplayed Rajasthan Royals by 33 runs in IPL 2021 clash at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday to climb on top of the points table. The victory against Royals also assures Rishabh Pant and his team a Playoff Spot.

Batting first, Delhi Capitals lost both their openers inside five overs. DC skipper Rishabh Pant (24) and Shreyas Iyer (43) played sensibly in the middle overs to help the team post a decent 154/6 after 20 overs.

Chasing 155 runs to win, Rajasthan looked uncomfortable right from the start. The Royals lost three wickets inside five overs and despite an unbeaten 70-run knock by skipper Sanju Samson, they failed to chase the target in the end. Only Mahipal Lomror managed to cross double figures (19) as the Rajasthan batsmen left a lot to be desired.

For DC, it was once again a clinical display from the bowlers led by Anrich Nortje (2/18). All the bowlers pitched in as Ravichandran Ashwin picked his 250th T20 wicket. Rishabh Pant led side looks to be the side to beat in IPL 2021 .
