Subhabrata Mukherjee : Friday night at Wankhede stadium, Mumbai witnessed a low scoring encounter in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) between Chennai Super  Kings (CSK) and Punjab Kings. Chennai comfortably won the match by 6 wickets while chasing a modest total. Now lets take a look at what we think is the 5 talking points from the match between Punjab Kings versus Chennai Super Kings.

Deepak Chahar’s Magical spell :

Swing bowling in modern day cricket is an extinct art. Good swing bowling both ways can get the best of the batter from the whole world. The right arm swing bowler from Chennai Super Kings is the prime example of that ‘proven fact’ as pointed out by National team Head coach Ravi Shastri. Deepak returned with a figure of 4-1-13-4. Mayank,Gayle,Hooda,Pooran had no answer to Deepak Chahar’s deliveries.

Shahrukh Khan’s batting :-

The new kid on the block somewhat rescued the Punjab innings with his batting. Without the innings played by Shah Rukh Khan ,Punjab wouldn’t have crosses 100 runs. He scored 47 runs from 36 balls.

Jadeja’s brilliance in the field :-

Ravindra Jadeja is undoubtedly one of the finest fielder of this generation. It was his brilliance in the field that effected Rahul’s run out. He backed it up with another brilliant catch that he took of Gayle of the bowling of Deepak Chahar.

Moeen Ali shines with the bat :-

While Chasing 107 rums to win Chennai lost Ruturaj Gaikwad early. They promoted Moeen Ali up the order. Left hander didn’t disappoint his team management as he scored 46 runs of just 31 balls and ensured his sides’ victory.

Shami tried hard :

Mohammad Shami ,India international pacer tried his level best for Punjab with the ball. He returned with the figures of 21/2. He took two quick Wickets but Chennai batsmen took their side to comfortable win.
