Both the matches were nail bitters if you are a Bangalore fan. Against Sunrisers Virat and his bowlers were clueless when Warner and Pandey were stitching together a great partnership out there in the middle. 1) Maxwell scoring a fifty after a gap of 5 years is the most talked about point from the game. ‘Big Show’ finally ended his run drought in IPL by scoring 59 runs from 41 balls.
2) Caribbean all-rounder Jason Holder was inducted into the Sunrisers Hyderabad setup on Wednesday for the first time in this year’s IPL.The tall all-rounder was superb with the ball. In his 4 overs he gave away just 30 runs and took the vital wickets of Virat Kohli,Glenn Maxwell and Kylie Jamieson.
3) David Warner, Manish Pandey partnership kept the Hyderabad team in the chase all throughout. This two put on 83 runs for the second wicket after they lost owners Saha cheaply. Warner completed his 50 but couldn’t get his team over the line.
4) Shahbaz Ahmed changed the complexion of the game with his 2 overs of spin. He took the wickets of Pandey,Jonny Bairstow and Samad in quick succession by giving away only 7 runs.
5) Last over bowled by Harshal Patel is one of the key point of this encounter. Patel who took 5 wickets in the very first match of IPL season 14 bowled a wonderful over as he only gave away 9 runs and secured a 6 run win for his team.
