IPL 2020:Mumbai Indians travel to Abu Dhabi, Rohit Sharma accompanied by wife and daughter

XtraTime Web Desk: Reigning Indian Premier League champions Mumbai Indians on Friday reached Abu Dhabi to take part in the upcoming 13th edition of the cash rich league in UAE starting next month from September 19. The Mumbai Indians cricketers were all in their safety gears before travelling to Abu Dhabi. MI Captain Rohit Sharma was seen accompanied by his wife Ritika and daughter Samaira. The franchise uploaded a picture of the family at the airport along with a post which said, ”All-set for Samaira’s second @IPL”

The four times IPL champions will be staying at the St Regis Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The luxurious property is located at the Sadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi overlooking the sea. The property belongs to the Marriott Group who is also the sponsor of Mumbai Indians this year.

Apart from Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians, Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is also scheduled to travel to Dubai on Friday. The RCB players and support staffs will be travelling in a chartered flight to UAE.

Already three franchises Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals have reached UAE on Thursday. While the Knight Riders are staying in Abu Dhabi, Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab will be based in Dubai.

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League will begin next month from September 19 with the final scheduled on November 10.
