IPL 2020: I’ve been looking forward to play against KXIP, says Ravichandran Ashwin

XtraTime Web Desk: Ravinchandran Ashwin, the newest member of Delhi Capitals squad is very excited to return back to cricket after 6 months. Delhi Capitals is scheduled face Kings XI Punjab tonight, a team who Ravi Ashwin captained last year. Speaking about that Ash said, “Obviously that’s not something got into my mind at all to be frank. Playing a game again that’s something very close to my heart. I’ve been looking forward for this day for a while. I think it’s been a long time, 6 months is a long time. There has been a bit of nervous energy that’s bumping again. It feels like to start the game all over again”.

When Ashwin was asked about his entry in a new young team, Ash said, “I think it’s been great. Most of the boys are ones I’ve played with in the Indian team and they have been very nice to me. It’s been the other way around like as a senior walking into the team but I felt like home, so no complaints”.

Asked about his role in the DC squad, Ashwin said, “There’s nothing as such. I must play as a role. I’m looking as I have said, ball hitting the bat again and vice versa. Looking forward to picking some wickets and like I said, I would love to get through the 40 overs game, play the twenty-twenty game, play Cricket all over again. Looking forward to like I was looking forward when I was a kid.”
