IPL 2020: Is Harbhajan Singh to skip tournament for CSK this season?

XtraTime Web Desk: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh is likely to skip the upcoming 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) in UAE due to personal reasons. The Chennai Super Kings off spinner is yet to reach UAE and has been postponing his travel plans. Harbhajan has even skipped the short camp of CSK in Chennai ahead of the team’s departure in Dubai.

According to sources Harbhajan is yet to send an official confirmation to the franchise about his unavailability. But it is learnt he is soon expected to inform the CSK management about his decision to skip the cash rich league citing personal reasons.
The Chennai Super Kings has already received a jolt after senior member Suresh Raina decided to come back to the country from Dubai last week. The left hander had been an integral part of the CSK’s success over the years.

While there have been a lot of things said about Raina’s sudden departure, the former India batsman has made it clear that it was a personal decision and he came back for his family. While he has gone on to add that one might see him back in the team this season itself, CSK as a cricketing unit has not reacted to the same.

If Harbhajan also follow the footsteps of Raina, it will no doubt be a huge setback for the Chennai based franchise. The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to start from September 19 in UAE with the final scheduled to be played on November 10.
