XtraTime Web Desk: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) management will be arranging to pick up MS Dhoni from Ranchi on August 14. The Chennai based franchise has arranged a charter flight to pick most of their cricketers. The chartered flight will pick players from Mumbai and will reach Delhi. Then the same charter flight from Delhi will fly to Ranchi to pick Dhoni and Monu Singh before reaching Chennai. The Chennai Super Kings will be organizing a small camp for 3-4 days starting from August 15.
The players and support staffs will be kept in the same hotel where two COVID-19 tests will take place. It is also learnt that most of the ad shoots of the franchise will take place in Chennai.
The Yellow Army will leave for UAE on August 21 for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Other franchises like Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians will fly out to Dubai in chartered flights from Mumbai. Delhi will travel to UAE on August 23 while Kolkata and Mumbai may travel either on August 21 or 22. The Delhi based franchise is also made arrangements for COVID-19 tests of their star players like Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane at their residences.
On Monday, IPL chairman Brijesh Patel had confirmed that the board has got government approval to go ahead with the IPL in the UAE. The 13th edition of the IPL will be played for 53 days, from September 19 to November 10, across three venues — Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Dubai.
