The current Cricket Association of Bengal officials has changed their mind and changed the quality of the surface and it is now more fast and a great pitch for the batsmen as well. Current CAB president Sourav Ganguly is working with IPL side Delhi Capitals as their advisor. Though he isn’t with the KKR team management but he lauded the pitch before the game.” We have built this pitch three years ago. You have seen very good pitches in Bengaluru and Mohali and now here too you can see a very good surface,” said Ganguly.
He is Kolkata’s very own son but he isn’t with the KKR management. On being asked about the matter he said, ”I have never thought about it. I am happy with Delhi Capitals and hopefully we can play well here.”
Sourav lauded the current bunch of cricketers at Delhi Capitals for their good show in this season so far.”Threre are so many young bunch. Shikhar Dhawan is an established player. Young Prithvi Shaw is very talented, young Rishabh Pant is playing well too.
“Shreyas Iyer took the responsibility to lead the side. Rabada is just 23 and bowling really well. So there are quite a few talented players and hopefully they can go forward in their career,” added Sourav.
