XtraTime Web Desk: Just as Ankit Rajpoot was ready to start the 15th over after the time out, there was a big confusion regarding the ball.
Rajpoot was at his mark and was looking for the ball as everyone started to realize that the ball was missing. Ashwin started to look around and ask everyone and so were the umpires. The Batsman saw the funny side of it as they had a little laugh.
The umpires also called out for new balls but later found out that the ball was in the pocket of the umpire Shamshuddin who put it in his pocket. This really cracked up a lot of people. Commentator Pommie Mbangwa even went on to say on a lighter note saying “he must be a great pickpocket”.
We have seen a number of heated moments this IPL involving the umpires but this was definitely a lighter moment.
